Materiality as memory
Each canvas begins long before the brush touches the surface. We grind raw earth pigments by hand, binding them with cold-pressed linseed and rabbit skin glue to build a porous, light-absorbing skin that shifts gently throughout the day.
The resulting works resist flat reproduction, demanding quiet observation in natural light where the subtle variations of hand and time reveal themselves completely.
